Nepal sees eight new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of eight new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Of the confirmed cases, six were detected through the RT-PCR method and two through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,652 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 615 were tested through RT-PCR method and 1,037 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 235 active cases in the country as 34 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,019 to date.
