Mahantha Thakur clinches HoR seat from Mahottari-3



MAHOTTARI: Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Chairman and House of Representatives member candidate from Mahottari-3 Mahantha Thakur has clinched victory in the elections held on Sunday.

He received 16,375 votes. This is Thakur’s fifth tenure in the parliament.

Thakur’s closest rival Hari Narayan Yadav of the Janata Samajbadi Party obtained 14,325 votes.

Similarly, Ram Adhar Kapar, a rebel candidate from CPN-UML, garnered 12,733 votes, and stood third in the election.
