Five-party alliance will be wiped out after Nov 20: UML Chair Oli

CHITWAN: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has said the ruling five-party alliance will be wiped out after the November 20 elections.

Labeling the alliance a “curse” for the country, he said the alliance would meet the same fate as the Ranas and the monarchy.

He also dubbed the ruling alliance as “expired drugs”, saying, “The Nepali Congress and the Maoist Center are expired medicines. They will fail to deliver.”

Addressing an election rally in Chitwan on Monday, UML Chairman Oli also urged voters of Chitwan Constituency-3 to vote for Dinesh Koirala, who is a rebel candidate of the Nepali Congress party.

“At least, he (Koirala) Oli understands politics and has a democratic character,” he added.

Koirala, a central member of the Nepali Congress, was expelled from the party for five years after he announced his candidacy.

The CPN-UML has supported Koirala in Chitwan Constituency 3.

Oli also took a swipe at Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda saying, “I heard that he (Prachanda) constructed a house in Chitwan. But he fled to Gorkha.”
