Nepali aviation sector committed to safe flights: AOAN President Captain Thapa



KATHMANDU: Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) President Captain Rameshwar Thapa has said that Nepali skies are safe and the aviation sector is committed to safe flights.

Speaking at a program held by Canadian Consulate to Nepal on the occasion of Canadian Aviation Mission to Nepal in Kathmandu on Tuesday, President Thapa said that Nepal is safe for flying as the safety score of Nepalese skies is increasing in line with international safety standards.

“Nepalese skies are safe. Therefore, I appeal to international visitors to fly in here (to Nepal),” he said.

He said that the Nepali aviation sector is committed to safe flights despite of geographical and weather conditions. The program will run for two days — Tuesday and Wednesday.

The program has the participation of representatives of the Canadian aviation sector, aviation educational institutions and dwells on of recent aviation developments in the Canada, among others.

Founders and representatives of Nepali aviation sector, pilots, educational institutions and others also attended the program.
