Curfew imposed in Mahottari



MOHATTARI: The District Administration Office, Mahottari on Thursday imposed a curfew at Bhangaha msunicipality-8 in the district over a clash between two groups of people.

The curfew was enacted at 4 pm on Thursday until further notice, according to an order issued by Chief District Officer Dipak Kumar Pahadi, adding that the administration resorted to the move in a bid to contain the tension flared up following a clash between the groups of people.

The restriction covers the entire Padariya village in the south, Dharmapur in the north, Bagada Chowk of Loharpatti in the east and the bridge near the area police office, Loharpatti in the west.

Organising gatherings of people, rallies, encircling and assemblies unnecessarily has been banned, according to the order.
