KATHMANDU: The influence of westerly winds is expected to bring partly cloudy conditions, with chances of light rain and snowfall in some parts of Nepal today, particularly across the hilly and mountainous regions.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the mountainous and hilly regions, including Koshi Province, while most parts of the Tarai are likely to experience mainly clear conditions.
This afternoon, light rain and snowfall are possible at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the division said.
Tonight, partly cloudy conditions are expected in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. The weather will remain mainly clear in the remaining parts of the country.
The division has also forecast light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the mountainous region of Gandaki Province tonight. Meanwhile, mist and fog are likely to develop at a few places across the Tarai, valleys and river gorges during the morning hours.
