Parliamentarian Chaudhary chained during treatment



KATHMANDU: Parliamentarian Resham Lal Chaudhary, convicted of Tikapur carnage, has been admitted at the Trauma Center of Bir Hospital for treatment.

He was admitted at the hospital following ailments related to lungs and bone marrow on Friday.

Pictures showing him chained in his leg have been doing rounds in social media.

The Kailali District Court on March 6 had handed down a life sentence to 11 people including Chaudhary in connection with the 2015 Tikapur incident in which nine people were killed.
