Nepal sees 51 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 51 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 45 were detected through the RT-PCR method and six through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,723 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 743 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 980 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 598 active cases in the country as 22 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,018 to date.
