6th Annual Coordination meeting of AFP and SSB concludes in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: The 6th Annual Coordination meeting of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal has concluded on Thursday.

The meeting that kicked off on Tuesday at APF Headquarters in Halchowk ended with the two sides signing an agreement for border cooperation.

The meeting was led by Raju Aryal Inspector General, APF, Nepal, and SSB Director-General S L Thaosen.

The meeting agreed to make control cross-border crime, make border security more effective and secure, continuously coordinate and cooperate and exchange information between the two security agencies.

In addition, the two sides agreed to continue establishing help desks at the border points and effective monitoring in the border area.

Nepal-India border security meeting is organized every year.

Last year, India hosted the meeting in New Delhi.
