Ruling coalition to begin discussion on provincial seat sharing

KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition will begin discussions for the distribution of seats in the provincial assemblies from today.

A meeting of the coalition held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Saturday discussed the allocation of seats in the House of Representatives.

One of the leaders attending the meeting said it has been agreed to start the discussion about the provincial assemblies by maintaining the agreements reached so far.

He said, “It has been agreed to start the discussion on the distribution of seats in the Provincial Assembly from tomorrow (Sunday).”

Leaders of the ruling coalition have intensified meetings in a bid to narrow down the differences on seat sharing in the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and State Assmebly.
