Dr. KC breaks his fast after signing 10-point deal with govt



KATHMANDU: The government and Dr. Govinda KC, who had been staging a fast-unto-death for nearly two weeks, have signed 10-point agreement.

After signing the agreement, Dr. KC has broken his fast on the 13th day of his strike.

Dr. KC broke his fast by by drinking juice from the hand of another patient Sarita Chaudhary, who had been admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, on Saturday.

Even though he has abandoned his hunger strike, Dr. KC will remain at the hospital for the next few days for treatment and recovery.

The doctor who began his hunger strike from Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi 13 days ago developed a sensitive kind of ulcer, according to doctors involved in his treatment.
