Dahal hints at government reshuffle

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has hinted at the possibility of the government reshuffle.

Dahal said discussions had taken place on the issue of government reshuffle after the budget for the fiscal year of 2019/20 was unveiled. According to him, the Chairperson duo – K P Oli and Dahal – would sit and conclude some issues shortly.

“We will reach to a concrete decision then,” he said adding that they are yet to finalize some issues or have reached a decision on the cabinet reshuffle.

Dahal said that the Prime Minister has a major role reshuffling the government further maintaining that the PM would do it whenever he wants to.

Terming the unification of the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) a ‘great achievement’ Dahal justified the unification of being a major decision for the country’s prosperity

On the occasion, he also informed that they have been holding talks on the issue of concluding the remaining work of the unification process.

NCP Chairperson Dahal said there has been no significant progress concerning the talks with the outlawed Netra Bikram Chand-led outfit.

In another context, Dahal stressed on the need for amending or making some changes in the Media Council Bill through the parliamentary process.
