Nepal sees 66 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 81 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 59 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 42 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,262 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,190 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,072 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,405 active cases in the country as 137 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,016 to date.
