Nepal sees 230 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 230 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 128 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 102 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,836 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,956 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,880 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2,505 active cases in the country as 78 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,009 to date.
