Nepal sees 221 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 221 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Of the confirmed cases, 122 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 99 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,058 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,519 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,539 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2,444 active cases in the country as 206 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,007 to date.
