Online nomination for ‘ICT Award 2022’ until Wednesday



KATHMANDU: Online nominations (applications) in various 12 categories for the seventh edition of the ICT Award, which is known as the most prestigious award in the field of information and communication technology, can be submitted by Wednesday.

The project initiated by Living with ICT in collaboration with various national and international organizations; ICT Award 2022 will be organized for the first time targeting South Asian countries.

Similarly, for Nepal, there are 3 different categories related to startup and innovation Startup ICT Award, Product ICT Award, and Rising Star Innovation ICT Award, a statement issued by the organizers said.

The categories of awards given to individuals who have made special contributions in the field of technology are Pioneer ICT Award, Entrepreneur ICT Award, Nepali Diaspora ICT Award and Woman Icon ICT Award.

Similarly, the awards given to the government and private organizations that provide excellent services through the use of technology include Digital Education ICT Award (Public Sector), Digital Education ICT Award (Private Sector), Digital Governance ICT Award and Digital Services ICT Award. To nominate for the award, one has to go to the ICT Award.org website and select the category and submit the online form.

The Grand Finale of ICT Awards 2022 will be held on the 8th of Poush 2079 at The Soaltee Kathmandu.

Likewise, as a pre-event champion, a startup and idea fest program will be organized as an exhibition and mentoring session for more than 100 digital start-ups from all over the country in the third week of Kartik.

12 expert jury members and 15 more special advisory committees have been formed for the selection process in 12 different categories.

ICT Awards is a great and most prestigious platform in Nepal to honor and encourage individuals, organizations, companies, students, and innovations working in the field of technology. It is playing an important role in the development of the startup ecosystem by supporting startups, innovators, individuals and organizations that have developed new products in various ways, creating an investment environment and also helping to participate in international platforms.

Likewise, the organizers said that they are contributing to the development of digital transformation and its ecosystem through digital governance, education and services.

Award winners will receive various services and facilities along with special honors.

The winner of the startup category will also get a subsidized loan facility of up to 15 lakhs and an investment opportunity.
