Minister Karki assures of sustainable solution measures to mitigate Koshi impacts



SUNSARI: Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, has pledged to deal with the Koshi flood issues in Sunsari through a sustainable approach.

The Minister, who was in Sunsari to assess the situation of Koshi victims at the Srilanka Island in Barahakshetra municipality-6 and 9 after the recent flood, said the government was working on a plan to address the issues of disaster survivors by declaring the affected areas as crisis-hit zone.

The flood caused massive soil erosion and inundation in the affected areas.

Stating locals are suffering numerous issues each year due to the Koshi River, he pledged to come up with measures capable of resolving the problems in a sustainable way.
