Nepal sees 542 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 524 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 224 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 318 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,930 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,082 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,848 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,265 active cases in the country as 41 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,990 to date.
