Nepal sees 888 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 888 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Of the confirmed cases, 427 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 461 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,737 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 3,155 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,582 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,387 active cases in the country as 474 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One more coronavirus related death were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,989 to date.
