The celebration was part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, which was launched by the Government of India in March 2021 to commemorate the historic milestone of 75 years of India’s Independence.

The celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag by Counsellor Prasanna Shrivastava, a statement issued by the Embassy said.

An address to the nation from President of India, Droupadi Murmu was also read out on the occasion.
