Home Minister Khand directs to rescue injured security personnel via chopper



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the bodies concerned to rescue those critically injured in a jeep accident of Nepal Police at Taksera of Putha Uttarganga rural municipality in Rukum (East) by using a helicopter.

Six security personnel including Deputy Superintendent of Police of Nepal Police, Rukum (East), Prakash Dangi, were injured when the jeep (Lu 1 Jha 660) heading towards Taksera of Putha Uttarganga rural municipality from Rukumkot fell some 800 meters off the road, said Chief District Officer of Rukum (Rast), Tularam Sunuwar.

Home Minister Khand asked the bodies concerned to send a helicopter to take the critically injured security personnel to hospital. A chopper of the Nepali Army in Sukhet has flown towards the incident site after Peace and Security Division of the Home Ministry informed about it, it is said.

Home Minister Khand directed the Home Administration and Rukum (East) Administration to make possible arrangement of treatment to the injured.

DSP Dangi has sustained deep injury on the head in the accident and Police Constable Laxman Budha is also critically injured in the accident, added CDO Sunuwar.

It is said six security personnel including DSP of the Armed Police Force of Rukum (East), Rabin Shrestha, were travelling in the jeep. (RSS)
