Traffic police take action against 2276 traffic rule violators in Valley



KATHMANDU: Traffic police have taken action against 2276 motorists in one day in Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday alone.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, they were taken action at various places for violating traffic rules.

The violators include 174 for parking their vehicles on the footpath, 120 for drunk driving, 104 people for violating lanes, 97 drivers for picking up passengers randomly, and 75 people for driving at high speed.

Likewise, 67 drivers were taken action for driving with doors open, 62 for violating red lights, 28 for not keeping their vehicles in good condition, and 17 drivers for carrying passengers more than capacity.
