Coronavirus cases on rise in Sudurpaschim Province



BAITADI: Coronavirus infection is increasing in Sudurpaschim Province in recent period. Coronavirus infection is increasing in the province, which shares the border with India, every day.

According to Sudurpaschim Province Health Directorate, the province has recorded 75 coronavirus cases since July 17.

COVID-19 Focal Person at the Directorate Hemraj Joshi said the infection was nil on July 16 and it has now started increasing as coronavirus infection has started increasing in India and Sudurpaschim province shares border with India.

Joshi added that health test at all check points of the province has been made strict following the increasing risk of coronavirus.

“Necessary human resources have been mobilized by establishing health desk as well as health test and vaccination program has been continued”, he shared.

Similarly, vaccination campaign against coronavirus has been kept in priority in order to prevent and control coronavirus infection.

The Directorate has urged all to adopt public health protocols mandatorily as coronavirus infection is increasing in the province.

A total of 556,975 people underwent for coronavirus test in Sudurpaschim Province so far, coronavirus was confirmed on 59,816 people. Likewise, 633 people succumbed to coronavirus infection in the province so far.
