Scooter rider killed in accident in Lalitpur



KATHMANDU: A woman died when a jeep hit a scooter in Lalitpur’s Balkumari Kharibot on Monday morning.

A pillion rider was injured in the accident.

23-year-old Rekha Magar, currently residing in Jhamsikhel of Lalitpur, who was seriously injured in the accident, died at B&B Hospital Gwarko during treatment.

Likewise, the pillion rider, Sakuntala Gharti, a resident of Lalitpur Dhobighat, is being treated at the same hospital.

According to the police, a scooter bearing the number Ba 45 P 1345, which was going from Gwarko to Koteshwar, was hit by a jeep at 3:30 am.

The driver is absconding along with the jeep.
