Prachanda takes stock of record-holder Tamang



LALITPUR: Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” reached Nepal Cancer Hospital at Harisiddhi in Lalitpur to take stock of the health condition of Shambhu Tamang, the youngest climber of Mt Everest.

Tamang, a resident of Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality-2, Sindhupalchowk, who set a record in the Guinness Book of World Records by climbing Mt. Everest at the youngest age in 1973, has been in hospital for a long time.

Tamang, who is suffering from cancer, is undergoing treatment at the Nepal Cancer Hospital.

Chairman Prachanda inquired about Tamang’s health condition from the doctors.

Prachanda also appreciated Tamang’s contribution to the country and said that he would take initiative to assist on behalf of the government for his healthcare.
