Nine communist parties demand cancellation of PM Deuba’s US visit



KATHMANDU: Nine communist parties have demanded the cancellation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s visit to the United States.

Issuing a joint statement on Wednesday, CPN-Revolutionary Maoist General Secretary Mohan Baidya “Kiran”, CPN-Maoist General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav”, among others have demanded that Prime Minister Deuba’s visit to the United States be canceled.

It has also asked the government to not sign any agreement that is detrimental to the nation.

The statement has said that the United States’ intervention in Nepal has increased after the endorsement of the US-grant project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
