Technical Committee for Revival of Tourism dissolved



KATHMANDU: The technical committee for revival of tourism formed by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has been dissolved.

The committee formed under coordination of Rajaram Giri on January 16, 2022 was dissolved from minister-level decision.

The Ministry dismissed the committee as it has already submitted its report on May 3, 2022, said Hemant Regmi, Personal Secretary of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale.

The 12-member committee was formed under coordination of an entrepreneur Giri in order to provide policy-level suggestions, advice by searching new potentialities in tourism industry of Nepal.

A 24-member board of directors under chairmanship of Minister Ale was also formed above the Revival Committee.

According to the Ministry, both committees were dissolved saying the advice and suggestion of the report would be implemented.
