Slain half-brother of North Korean leader was CIA agent



WASHINGTON: Kim Jong Nam, half-brother of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un was killed in 2017 attack in Malaysia. He was a Central Intelligence Agency source who met on several occasions with agency operatives, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

The Journal cited an unnamed “person knowledgeable about the matter” for the report, and revealed many details of North Korean Leader’s Slain Half Brother’s relationship the CIA remained unclear. The CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) declined to comment on the report.

Washington Post reporter Anna Fifield  in her book “The Great Successor” has mentioned Kim Jong Nam’s role as a CIA informant. The book is due to be published on Tuesday. Fifield says Kim Jong Nam usually met his handlers in Singapore and Malaysia. (Agencies)
