KATHMANDU: Head coach of Nepali national football team Abdullah Almutairi has announced the final squad for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers in Kuwait.
Nepal has been drawn against Jordan, Kuwait and Indonesia in the Group A of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers.
Nepal will play its first game with Jordan on June 8 followed Kuwait on June 11.
The final game against Indonesia will be played on June 14.
According to coach Almutairi, Deep Karki, Bishal Sunar and Tikendra Singh Thapa have been chosen goalkeepers.
Likewise, defenders are Bikash Khawas, Bikash Tamang, Gautam Shrestha, Rajan Gurung, Shiva Gurung and Suman Aryal.
Similarly, those handling the midfield are Akash Buda Magar, Arik Bista, Nir Kumar Rai, Pujan Uperkoti, Roshan Rana Magar, Santosh Tamang, Sesehang Angdembe, Sunil Bal and Suraj Jeu Thakuri; and Ayush Ghalan, Darshan Gurung, George Prince Karki, Manish Dangi and Nawayug Shrestha are strikers.
