Independent candidate Sampang takes lead in Dharan Sub metropolis

DHARAN: Independent candidate Hark Sampang has overtaken Nepali Congress candidate Kishor Rai from the five-party alliance in Dharan Sub-metropolitan City.

According to the public results unveiled on Wednesday noon, Sampang, with the stick as an election symbol, got 8,046 votes.

Meanwhile, Kishor Rai of Nepali Congress (NC) has managed to get 7,996 votes. In this way, Sampang started taking the lead with 50 votes against Kishor.

CPN-UML candidate Manju Bhandari is in the third position with 6,610 votes.
