Budget session of parliament commences today



KATHMANDU: The new session of the Federal Parliament would commence today.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on the May 8 recommendation of the Council of Ministers, summoned the new session for today.

The meeting has been called at Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor, at 4:00 pm.

Meanwhile, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota on Monday reached the Federal Parliament Building and took information about the preparation of the House of Representatives meeting, said Sapkota’s press expert Shreedhar Neupane.

Similarly, Speaker Sapkota has called the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee for 2:30 pm today.

The meeting of Business Advisory Committee would make decisions on various issues including the agenda of the meeting.

The government’s policy and program and budget would be presented in this session as it is also the budget session.
