PM Oli leaves for week-long Europe visit

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Saturday left for a week-long visit to European countries. Oli is scheduled to visit Switzerland, Britain and France during this visit.

Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, National Assembly ( NA) Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwor Pokhrel, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Nepal Communist Party ( NCP) parliamentary party deputy leader Subash Nembang, among others reached TIA to see off the Prime Minister.

On the occasion, a contingent of Nepal Army presented a guard of honor to the Head of the Government.

The Prime Minister’s entourage comprises his spouse Radhika Shakya, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali; Minister for Employment and Social Security, Gokarna Bista; chief political advisor to the Prime Minister, Bishnu Rimal; foreign affairs advisor, Dr Rajan Bhattarai; President of parliament committee on industry, commerce, labour and consumer interest, Bimal Prasad Shreewastav and lawmaker Binda Pandey.

He will return to Nepal on June 16.
