NEPSE gains 12.27 points on Sunday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed double digits gain on Monday.

The index rose by 12.27 points and closed at 22,68.84 points on the second trading day of this week. The Sensitive Index also gained 3.12 points to settle at 439.47 points.

Nine indices closed green while four were red at the end of trading day.

The total turnover in the market was just Rs 1.39 billion. Nevertheless, share prices of many companies have gone up.

A total of 3,324,822 shares of 222 companies were traded via 28,675 transactions.

The share market had also risen on Sunday. The NEPSE index had gained 17.95 points and reached 2256.57 points on Sunday. Likewise, the turnover yesterday was Rs 1.32 billion.

The market has started to rise after relatively longer downtrends in recent weeks.
