KATHMANDU: The government has announced public holiday in Kathmandu Valley for Sunday on the occasion of Bhoto Jatra.
Issuing a notice on Friday, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced a holiday for the festival.
The festival is marked by showing the bhoto (a jewel-studded vest) of Rato Machhindranath. Rato Machhindranath is the god of rains and good harvest.
