NEPSE declines by 15.02 points Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The stock market plunged by 15.02 points to drop to 2370.99 points Tuesday, the third day of the week.

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) sensitive index declined by 0.63 percent today.

The Sensitive Index of Good and Strong Companies also declined by 1.74 points to drop to 452.95 points. Tuesday’s overall transaction also shrunk to Rs.1 billion.

Out of 13 subgroups listed in NEPSE, 11 turned red when only two went green today.

According to NEPSE, the mutual fund group rose the most at 1.62 percent on the day. Production and processing group also increased by 0.29 percent.

The hydropower group declined the most by 1.49 percent followed by the investment group declined 1.39 percent, banking group 0.32 percent and the business group 0.48 percent.

Of the 228 companies listed on NEPSE today, 34,19,228 shares have been bought and sold at a price of Rs 1.46 billion.

Siddhartha Bank had the highest turnover of Rs 42.1 million on this day. Api Power had a turnover of Rs 46 million, followed by NESDO Sambridhdhi Microfinance at Rs 35 million, Arun Valley Hydropower at Rs 29.2 million and Himalayan Distillery at Rs 28.5 million.

Today, the shareholders of Jalpa Community Microfinance earned the most. The share price of this microfinance increased by an average of 10 percent and had a positive circuit.

Today, the shareholders of Himalayan Power Partner and Multipurpose Finance lost the most. Share prices of both the companies declined by 5 percent.
