Tri-nation T20I series: Nepal and PNG to vie for title on Monday



KATHMANDU: Nepal is locking horns with Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the final match of the ongoing tri-nation twenty20 international series on Monday.

The match will be held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur at 12:30 pm.

Nepal has reached the final by defeating Malaysia by a wide margin of 85 runs yesterday.

Chasing the 224-run target set by Nepal at the TU Cricket Ground on Saturday, Malaysia lost all their wickets in 19.5 overs and were all out for 138.

With the loss to Nepal on Saturday, Malaysia went out of the journey to the ongoing tri-nation twenty20 series.

Nepal is atop the points table with eight points from four consecutive wins and had reached the final prior to one match.

PNG, which is in the second position with two points from four matches, is facing Nepal in the final tomorrow.
