Prime Minister Deuba requests India to provide three more air routes



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has requested Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide three more air routes.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the bilateral talks, Prime Minister Deuba said that the two Prime Ministers discussed about the operation of Bhairahawa International Airport.

“We have also discussed the issue of civil aviation. We have demanded additional air routes to enter Nepal as per Nepal’s request. We have demanded routes from Mahendragunj, Nepalgunj and Janakpur,” the Nepali Prime Minister said, adding, “We have requested for assistance for the operation of Bhairahawa International Airport.”

Prime Minister Deuba is on three-day visit to India since Friday.
