KATHMANDU: Bilateral talks between Nepal and China have started in Kathmandu on Saturday afternoon.
The bilateral talks between Nepal and her northern neighbor China started in the presence of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Nepal’s Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka.
The talk is held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yi and Foreign Minister Khadka will also hold one-on-one discussions.
According to Foreign Ministry officials, China and Nepal will reach an agreement on nine different issues during Saturday’s discussion. However, there is no clear indication on whether the foreign ministers will ink some landmark agreement under Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The Chinese Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba immediately after Foreign Minister Khadka.
