Nepal gets a target of 203 runs against UAE



KATHMANDU: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set a target of 203 runs against Nepal in the ongoing one-day cricket match in the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.

After Nepal won the toss and elected to field at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, UAE lost nine wickets in 50 overs and scored 202 runs.

Rohan Mustafa of UAE top scored with 60 runs. Similarly, Muhammad Wasim scored 33, Chirag Suri 26 and Vritya Arvind 24 runs.

On the bowling side, Nepal captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC took three wickets each, Karan KC and Sompal Karmi two wickets each and Arif Sheikh and Dipendra Singh Airee one wicket each.

In the first match played earlier, Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 2 wickets. But in the second match, Nepal lost to UAE by 48 runs.

Nepal is in the sixth position in the World Cricket League-2 with 10 points in 10 games. UAE is second and PNG is at the bottom.
