KATHMANDU: Acting Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Karki has convened the full meeting of the Supreme Court for 2 pm Friday.
According to SC sources, the meeting will discuss about provisioning the prevalent practice of assigning the case by drawing the ball, which started on December 1, towards ‘automation’.
A full meeting of the Supreme Court judges, who were in agitation against the now suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, had decided to fix the case through a round of voting from December 1.
The judges had gone on strike accusing then Chief Justice Rana of mediating in the court and playing tricks against the spirit of the judiciary.
Coalition-led lawmakers have filed an impeachment motion against the chief justice in parliament, getting Chief Justice Rana suspended.
