Police seize truck carrying medical supplies worth Rs 16 million evading customs



KATHMANDU: District Police Office, Parsa has seized a truck with more than Rs 16 million worth medical supplies. The office has taken under control the truck along with the medical supplies and retail goods brought by the customs fraudsters.

According to the District Police Office, Parsa, the security force had received information that medical supplies and retail goods were being loaded from Birgunj to Kathmandu evading customs. Based on the information, the team deployed in Gandak Road sector of Birgunj- 14, Parsa raided the truck.

Police recovered the goods from the truck Province 2 Kha 9252 at 14 Gandak Road.

The truck and the seized goods have been handed over to Pathalaiya Revenue Investigation Office for further action.
