Save Scout Campaign calls for dismissal of Nepal Scouts’ ad-hoc committee

KATHMANDU: Save Scout Campaign has demanded the dismissal of the ad hoc committee headed by Lok Bahadur Bhandari to save Nepal Scouts. The campaign also sought immediate election of all the bodies of Nepal Scouts.

At a press conference in Kathmandu on Thursday, the campaign demanded that the ad hoc committee headed by Bhandari be dismissed as it was illegal and incompetent. The campaign claimed that Nepal Scouts was rife with corruption and was running against the financial regulations of the government.

The campaign has also demanded action against those who use the Nepal Scouts as a recruitment center for political parties. The campaign has also objected to the move of the ad hoc committee of commercial leasing of the public land of Nepal Scouts.

At the press conference, Nepal Scouts Advisor Pushpa Lata Bhattarai accused the ad hoc committee of working against the values, beliefs and training of scouts.

The campaign has also objected to the change of scarf and letter pad of Nepal Scouts.
