BAC to table MCC in Parliament amid Maoist’s objection

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) has decided to table the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in Parliament on Sunday.

The meeting convened by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has decided to table the MCC agreement approval proposal in the parliament today.

According to Rojnath Pandey, spokesperson of the Parliament Secretariat, the meeting also decided to present the Public Service Commission Bill received from the National Assembly.

According to him, the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee has decided to hold the next session of the parliament on February 24.

During the meeting, the Maoist Center expressed its disagreement against the decision in writing.

Dev Gurung, Jaipuri Gharti and Rekha Sharma of the Maoist Center have expressed their disagreement in writing.

They have expressed their disagreement saying that some points of the MCC agreement, which is being protested across the country, should not be tabled in the parliament in the current situation.
