Nepal sees 3,175 new coronavirus cases, 14 deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 3,175 new cases of coronavirus and 14 deaths in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 2,742 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 433 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 1,249 cases in Kathmandu, 77 in Bhaktapur and 183 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 1,509 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 14 coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,778 to date.

Currently, there are 63,296 active cases in the country as 8,267 infected patients recovered.
