Nepal sees 4,904 new coronavirus cases, six deaths in last 24 hours

1,820 cases in Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 4,904 new cases of coronavirus and six deaths in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 3,318 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 1,586 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 1,404 cases in Kathmandu, 111 in Bhaktapur and 305 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 1,820 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were six coronavirus-related deaths reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,703 to date.

Currently, there are 87,329 active cases in the country.

In the past 24-hour period, 5,924 infected patients recovered.
