Govt implementing one-door online system in customs offices from today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal government is implementing one-door online system in customs offices across the country from today.

Director General of the Customs Department Narayan Prasad Sapkota said that the one-door online system will be implemented from Wednesday on the occasion of the 70th International Customs Day.

Accordingly, emphasis has been laid on the integrated development of all the infrastructures required for obtaining and analysing data through electronic means in Nepal, Sapkota said.

He further said that they are preparing to select and distribute customs agents within this fiscal year. According to Director General Sapkota, there are currently 38 customs offices across the country.

January 26 is celebrated as the International Customs Day.
