Nepal sees 10,319 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

4676 cases in Kathmandu valley alone

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 10,319 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of  Monday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 8,054 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 2,265 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 3634 cases in Kathmandu, 455 in Bhaktapur and 587 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 4,676 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were four coronavirus-related deaths reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,659 to date.

Currently, there are 82,550 active cases in the country.

In the past 24-hour period, 2,540 infected patients recovered.
