Nepal sees 6,462 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Four COVID-19 patients succumb to death



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 6,462 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 5,598 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 864 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 2868 cases in Kathmandu, 321 in Bhaktapur and 602 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 3,791 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were four coronavirus-related deaths reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,655 to date.

Currently, there are 77,040 active cases in the country.

In the past 24-hour period, 1,416 infected patients recovered.
