Nepal sees 10,703 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 5,299 cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 10,703 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 8,815 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 1,888 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 4,279 cases in Kathmandu, 453 in Bhaktapur and 567 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 5,299 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there was three coronavirus-related deaths reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,635 to date.

Currently, there are 65,374 active cases in the country.

In the past 24-hour period, 766 infected patients recovered.
