Weather to remain generally cloudy until Monday



KATHMANDU: The weather will not clear until Monday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

Even though the weather system which caused generally cloudy weather on Thursday and Wednesday is subsiding from Friday night, another weather system is entering the country from Saturday.

Hence, the it will take some more days for the weather to become clear, said the Division. According to senior meteorologist Shanti Kandel, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy with chances of light rain and snowfall until Monday.

The maximum temperature is likely to go down thereby resulting in biting cold across the country, said the Division.
The maximum temperature of Dadeldhura went down to 6.5 degree Celsius on Thursday from 15.3 degree Celsius on Wednesday.

Similarly, the maximum temperature of Jomsom was recorded at 8 degree Celsius, Jiri’s at 9.9 and that of Katahmandu’s has been recorded at 13.4 degree Celsius on Thursday.

Increasing cold has affected the lives of people in general across the country.
